Frequently asked questions

Here we have collected answers to the questions that our patients ask us most often. We hope that you will find useful information here, but if you have additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us - we are here to help.

How often should I visit the dentist?

You should visit the dentist at least every 6-12 months if you have no problems. The dentist can recommend more frequent check-ups if your condition requires it. If you notice any changes in your mouth such as pain, swelling, bleeding gums, do not delay your visit to the dentist.

How long do prosthetic restorations last?

The longevity of prosthetic restorations depends on proper maintenance of oral hygiene and regular check-ups to maintain the health of the carrier teeth. Although we cannot expect prosthetic restorations to last forever, proper maintenance can extend their lifespan.

Why do teeth decay?

Tooth decay is favored by foods rich in starch and sugar, which feed on bacteria and produce acids that corrode the enamel. By maintaining proper hygiene, we remove plaque, which is a suitable habitat for bacteria, and thus prevent its formation. If cavities have already formed, it is necessary to visit the dentist as soon as possible and prevent its spread.

Is teeth whitening harmful?

Teeth whitening is not harmful if it is done under the control of a dentist, using professional means. The teeth must be repaired and healthy before the whitening procedure. Prosthetic works and fillings cannot be bleached. Excessive whitening can damage the enamel, so it is not recommended to do it more than twice a year.
